Challenge

Working with my art direction partner, we needed to capture the energy and joy of festival season. A sense of spontaneity, adventure, and youthful optimism, all while shooting in a NYC studio.

Approach

I centered the concept around instant cameras as a storytelling devicea nostalgic way to capture and share moments that felt authentic to the festival experience. This visual thread ran through every shot, whether we featured the camera itself or the printed images it produced.

Since we couldn't travel to an actual festival, I curated a collection of stock imagery to be edited into the empty instant film frames during post-production. Working closely with the prop stylist, I chose props that felt youthful with a vintage flair—striking that balance between modern and nostalgic. Tying back to the brand's "#1 Brand for Hair, Skin & Nails" positioning, each set was designed to visually communicate its specific benefit of the three hero products while maintaining cohesion across the entire campaign.
